Going out of business sale!! Discounts at checkout and free shipping!!! Our Crupper may very well be the last crupper you will need to buy. The tail piece is made by Weaver, and the leather strapping is made by Camden Gap, the same fella who makes our head stalls. The tail pieces are made of soft yet tough leather and are filled with flax seed. The more they are used, the softer they get from the oil produced by the flax seed inside. The straps are made of the finest English Bridle leather. The hardware is either Brass or Stainless steel; we call it Chrome. The leather strapping is made to adjust in length two ways; at the tail piece and in the middle. The adjustment from tip of snap to the end of the tail piece is from 23 1/2" to 30". That is a full six inches adjustment so you can use this on many different sized horses. To find out if this crupper will fit your horse, measure from the ring on the back of your saddle to the underside of your horses tail. If that measurement is between 23 1/2" to 30" it will fit. The correct adjustment of the crupper is snug, but not too tight. The idea is to be able to go down a steep hill and your saddle stays in place not sliding forward more than an inch or two. You should never have to get off your horse to readjust a saddle if you have your crupper and breast collar adjusted correctly.
